Alex has over 17 years experience in the taxi trade.
Starting his career at the age of 17 as a controller, this was due to his career as a rugby player sadly ended due to injury.
Soon after becoming a controller he gained interest in becoming a driver.
Once he had gained one years driving experience he applied for his taxi badge at the young age of 18.
Since then he has worked as both private hire and Hackney Carriage, since his knowledge has prospered over the years he is now regarded as an Executive Driver as well.
Through the years Alex has worked within the haulage trade and built a solid reputation with the parcel and same day delivery companies within the local area.
He has brought vital experience to Pride Cars, working with both trades he has brought the two together to give a professional service that Pride Cars offer today.
In August 2019 the company made the decision to expand, Alex was then requested to develop the company further by offering the same service to Bury St. Edmunds.
Since transferring he has made an amount of connections with other drivers and operators within the West Suffolk Council operating areas.
Alex is now the spokes person for the Taxi forum, this consists of drivers and operators from all over the West Suffolk area.
Director Of Pride Cars Haverhill & Bury St. Edmunds
Laura has over 17 years of first hand experience in the taxi trade.
Laura has spent many years shadowing other family members in the taxi trade before being trained as a controller after leaving school.
Within a year she had the experience and ability to control up to thirty drivers on what was once a two way radio system.
Her proven ability led to the reigns of the finance aspect of the business.
This meant she had to invoice drivers and liaise with the businesses that held accounts.
Laura progressed the company into a newer age by training on a computer based system.
This innovated the way that the taxi industry progressed, this was the first integration of card payments.
In 2017 Laura succeeded her father and took to operating the entire company, dramatic changes were made to increase the productivity.
A cloud based operating system was purchased which led to further improvements:
- text messaging
- automated invoicing
- in car payments
- web bookings
- app bookings
Within the short time of Laura at the helm she has managed to triple the amount of company vehicles and expand the amount of employees within the company while still maintaining a majority of company duties and researching further concepts to expand the taxi industry.
